Following the departure of Onno Mulder as CEO of Citycare Group in October 2020, the Board of Citycare have confirmed the positions of Tim Gibson as Chief Executive Citycare Water and Peter Lord as Chief Executive Citycare Property.
In addition, the Citycare Civil operations have been incorporated into the Property team to better capitalise on workplace synergies and streamline operations.
These changes and appointments reflect the longer term Citycare strategy to evolve the individual sector brands and establish the independence of these business units.
Tim Gibson was previously Executive General Manager of Citycare Water. He has been with the company since 2010 and is a qualified civil engineer and holds a Master of Business Administration. Tim is also a Member of the Institute of Directors, Director and Chairman of Apex Environmental, a subsidiary of Citycare Water and a Board member of Water NZ.
Peter Lord has extensive experience in the property and infrastructure sectors, both in New Zealand and internationally. He has a degree in Engineering from UNSW, is a member of the NZ Institute of Directors and is a Fellow of the Facilities Management Association of New Zealand. Peter has held several executive leadership roles within Citycare and was most recently Executive General Manager of Citycare Property.
Tim and Peter will commence these roles effective immediately.

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ) that aligns with our commitment to protect the health of our water.
New Citycare Water drainlaying apprentices Graeme Cleave and Shelley McBratney have a lot in common. They are not only a couple, but their two sons also work with them in our Dunedin drainage team, and they’ve jointly decided to study and take on their apprenticeships later in life.
